Hello, Love, Goodbye” tells the story of Joy (Bernardo), a registered nurse in the Philippines forced to work as a domestic helper in Hong Kong to provide for her family in the Philippines and to be able to save for a visa to Canada, where she can work as a nurse. One fateful night she meets Ethan (Richards), a fellow Filipino working as a bartender. Ethan, although happy-go-lucky and a playboy, falls for Joy’s charms and tries to win her heart. Joy is dismissive and aloof at first but eventually sees Ethan’s sincerity and both fall in love with each other. A dilemma arises: will Joy leave Hong Kong and follow her dream of working as a nurse in Canada, or will she listen to her heart and stay with Ethan in Hong Kong?
